Beyond Beta – CleanTech Acceleration

In Denmark, we are among the best in the world at creating the framework for establishing a business. However, newly founded companies rarely grow very large, and Denmark lags behind countries we typically compare ourselves to, such as Sweden, Finland, and Germany.

If we want to create more growth companies, we need to focus on the startups that, within two years of being founded, employ at least ten people, and in the following three years have an average employee growth rate of at least 10 percent – the so-called growth entrepreneur companies.

Since January 2022, Clean has, through Beyond Beta, helped 23 water and environmental technology startups lay the foundation for their businesses – and we will continue this work from January 1, 2024 onwards.

Through collaboration with the Danish Business Hubs, Accelerace, and several major players in relevant industries, startups can receive guidance to successfully establish the foundation of their business and drive development. For example, water startups have received feedback and 1:1 meetings with Grundfos, Kamstrup, and Aarhus Vand on how to best approach the market and address its needs.
