Danish water technology to be acquired by US company

The company Vandrensning.com, which has an environmental technology solution that can clean PFAS from water, has just sold their solution to the American company ECT2 (Emerging Compounds Treatment Technologies).

Vandrensning.com focuses on delivering high-quality products for industrial purification of PFAS at fire schools and landfills in Denmark and abroad. With their solution, PFAS levels in water can be reduced from 80 ng/l to 0.33 ng/l.

It’s only been 1.5 years since Vandrensning.com got their CVR number, and during the spring they were approached several times by investors. The third time was the charm.

One of the reasons behind the acquisition is explained by founder Tore Svendsen:

We have commercial references and are out in the market. Our solutions are something that is physically in the real world and works – not just in a lab.

In addition, Tore also points out that timing has also played a crucial role in the acquisition:

PFAS has become big and timing is everything. In addition to the timing, it has also been a lot of hard work focusing on customer needs. The most important thing is that customers should experience that what we deliver works, which has meant that we also stand out at the treatment plant until it’s dark and everything works as it should.

In August 2023, the contracts were signed and now Vandrensning.com is working for the company ECT2. The company continues its efforts to help fire stations, schools, airports and other landfills clean their wastewater from PFAS contamination using their solution.

Vandrensing.com is active in CLEAN and has presented their solution several times. They also participates in a knowledge bridge project focusing on sustainable reduction of contamination at endangered drinking water wells.
