Danish water startups get international exposure at Tech Tour 2025 in Copenhagen

City Hall of Copenhagen and Dragespringvandet in Denmark

Tech Tour Water Tech returns – this time at Copenhagen City Hall. On June 11-12, 2025, over 30 carefully selected water tech startups from around the world will gather in Copenhagen for an international two-day event focusing on the future of water solutions.

Among them are three Danish startups that will have the opportunity to present their groundbreaking technologies in front of a panel of international investors, experts and industry professionals.

For us, it’s not just about showing what we can do – it’s about meeting partners, investors, and like-minded people who share our vision of decentralized, sustainable wastewater treatment – Robert Byriel Riedel, co-founder and Chairman of Watopi.

The event is held in collaboration with Tech Tour, DHI, Aarhus University, Water Valley Denmark, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the City of Copenhagen, Kromann Reumert, and Danske Growth as well as International Cleantech Network, Co-Investing, and Global Water Alliance.

The event includes a reception at Copenhagen City Hall, physical presentations from water start-ups and scale-ups around the world, a networking dinner, and 1:1 investor meetings to facilitate new partnerships and investments.

Increasing global interest in Danish water solutions

The interest in the Tech Tour Water Tech 2025 has been high, with over 100 applications from startups worldwide. The focus areas range from industrial water reuse to smart technologies for smarter water management and flood protection.

The selected Danish startups are

RobSub
Watopi

Together they represent a wide range of solutions that address both climate challenges and resource optimization within water.

It’s a great pleasure to bring together investors, industry professionals and some of the most promising startups and scale-ups here in Denmark for the third year in a row. The Tech Tour has proven to be a strong platform for creating valuable connections between entrepreneurs and investors. I’m particularly proud that three Danish startups are among those selected to pitch – chosen from over 100 applications from around the world.
